Here is my latest painting in progress, an interpretation of Colonel Charles Pettit, by Charles Willson Peale, circa 1792.
I have just completed the clothing, and will start soon on the background. This painting required a lot of time to develop the face and eyes.
So far, I am twelve hours into it! This has been the most challenging portrait yet.
